Omaha the Cat Dancer.
I loved this book. Written by Kate Worley and drawn, exquisitely, by Reed Waller, Omaha was one of my first experiences with "adult" comics and after almost 20 years and countless adult comics later she is still one of the best. As a character she is beautiful, funny, sexy and a little tragic all rolled up into one bundle of shapely fur! The story is as engrossing as any "soap-opera" title of today, on par with Strangers in Paradise. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, Omaha is no longer being published. Reed never goes to conventions and will not even do sketches by comission anymore. This saddens me a great deal as I have never met the man (or Kate) and I regret that I will never get the opportunity to tell them in person what an impact thay had on me and comics in general. I'm sure they know and I'm sure they have heard it a million times. Still, the chance to meet Reed in person and get a sketch of Omaha...
